From 4-8 September 2017, the European Study Groups with Industry will brings mathematicians and industrialists together to work side-by-side to solve real and important issues that companies are facing today.
This event will take place at the University of Warwick and will allow industrialists to present selected problems and ask a group of mathematicians to work on these problems for a week.
While full solutions are not always found in such a short time, the study group always makes very good progress towards finding a solution, often leading to further collaborations between the parties involved.
The study group is an ideal forum in which to have a brain-storming session involving mathematicians with wide ranges of expertise and who can cast fresh eyes on problems completely new to them.
The outcome of the study group is delivered through a presentation on the last day, followed by a written report for each problem a few weeks after the event.
More information can be seen on the event webpage and in the event flyer.
